Akemi Teruya Kanoho, 67, of Hilo died Nov. 22. Born in Uruma City, Okinawa, Japan, she was a travel agent and tour guide for Tours by Charlie. Visitation 12:30-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 2 p.m. Survived by husband, Charles L. Kanoho Jr. of Hilo; son, Kaweo Kanoho of Hilo; daughter, Nozomi Kanoho of Hilo; sisters, Mieko (Masaru) Asato and Seiko (Masakatsu) Ikeho of Okinawa; brothers, Toru (Akemi) Teruya and Makoto (Yukari) Teruya of Okinawa, Hiroshi (Takako) Teruya of Tokyo; mother-in-law, Kuulei Kanoho of Hilo; nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois Bennett Olcott, 72, of Cleveland, formerly of Hilo, died Nov. 28 at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. Born in West Hartford, Conn., she was a teacher. Celebration of life will be in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in the spring and in South Bristol, Maine, in July. Clayton Devereux Tremaine Sr., 76, of Waikoloa died Nov. 23 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was a foreman for Pohokala Ranch, 2007 inductee into the Paniolo Hall of Fame and U.S. Navy veteran.
